The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is good for general use, while the Gateway 11.6" is poor.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is better for general use because it has a more powerful CPU, more RAM, and a higher-quality screen, which improves multitasking, speed, and visual experience; its battery life for typical use is shorter than the Gateway 11.6", but the tradeoff is offset by its robust performance and larger, sharper display. The Gateway 11.6" offers excellent portability due to its smaller size and longer battery life, but its lower-end processor, minimual RAM, and lower resolution screen limit its effectiveness for demanding tasks and result in a poorer overall user experience for general use.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 has a better screen than the Gateway 11.6" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 boasts a high-resolution display with strong brightness and advanced panel technology, offering crisp and vivid visuals for everyday tasks and professional design work, alongside extensive color coverage essential for precise engineering applications. However, its refresh rate isn't optimal for the fast-paced action in gaming and 3D rendering where fluid motion is key. The Gateway 11.6" falls short in screen quality across the board due to its lower resolution, subpar brightness, and limited color range, not meeting the demands of general use, professional creativity, or gaming.

"The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is not yet as optimised as its predecessor. Compared to the previous gen, performance and efficiency have improved significantly. What's more, the wonderful, Mini-LED Nebula display is a contender for the main highlight and almost manages to put the CPU and GPU in the shade. We already found its predecessor to be a well-rounded and well-optimised gaming machine. Generally, but not unequivocally, that also applies to the new Asus M16. Similar to most of the current, new laptops, we are dealing with a double generational leap in terms of the CPU and GPU. However, this change doesn't always run smoothly."
