The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 offers a higher-end experience with better overall performance suited for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, primarily due to its superior processor and graphics card. Its display is also sharper with a higher resolution, which might be more satisfying for work that benefits from visual detail. However, its higher cost reflects these advantages. The HP Victus 15, on the other hand, is more cost-effective and still capable of handling general use and moderate gaming or engineering tasks, but won't perform as well with very demanding applications. It's also heavier and may have a shorter battery life, making it less portable than the ASUS model. Consider how much you value performance versus cost and portability when deciding between the two. NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | February 2021
"As long as you're aware of the fact that the GeForce RTX 3080 laptop version can only unfold its potential to a limited extent due to Asus's low TDP setting and that it can be slower than a fast RTX 3070 laptop, the ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503Q cuts a fine figure. One of the biggest highlights turns out to be the WQHD panel, since it attracts customers with 165 Hz, relatively fast response times, FreeSync, and good color-space coverage. Other selling points are the surprisingly rich sound, the long battery life, and the sleek design. In terms of looks, the white edition stands out nicely from the competition."

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The HP Victus 15 is great for gaming. It's available with Intel 12th Gen. CPUs and NVIDIA discrete graphics, which are powerful enough to provide a smooth gaming experience in demanding AAA titles at 1080p. It has a nice keyboard and a fast SSD, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connectivity for low-latency online gaming. Unfortunately, its 144Hz display has a slow response time causing noticeable ghosting, and it doesn't support variable refresh rate to reduce screen tearing."
