The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 offers high-end performance suitable for intensive tasks, but it is more expensive and less portable due to its larger size. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is more affordable, smaller, and lighter, making it easier to carry around, though it may not handle demanding workloads as well as the ASUS. If budget is a concern and you prioritize portability for everyday use, the Lenovo would be a good choice. However, if you require top-notch performance for gaming or engineering and don't mind the additional cost and bulk, the ASUS is a stronger contender. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for gaming and AI, software development, and content creation, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen for general use, and engineering and design.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17, while offering a decent resolution and brightness for general tasks, might not provide the high refresh rate preferred by gamers or the extensive color gamut needed by professionals in engineering and design. The Lenovo Legion 5 15", with its superior resolution and brightness, serves well for everyday activities and productivity, granting clear and vivid visuals, but like the ASUS, it doesn't hit the mark for gaming or specialized work that demands a wide color range and fast refresh rates. Despite these shortcomings, both laptops are satisfactory for general use and capable of handling less color-sensitive engineering tasks, but professionals and gamers seeking the optimal experience will need to consider other models that cater specifically to their high-standard requirements for color accuracy and smooth visuals.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 laptop review: liquid metal 7 nm AMD Zen 3 is stunning. The raw performance increase is absolutely bonkers if you're upgrading from a laptop on Coffee Lake-H or older. The 45 W Ryzen 9 5900HX is neck-to-neck with the thicker, heavier, and hotter Schenker Ultra 17 running on a desktop-class Core i9-11900K despite their wide TDP differences. The performance-per-watt advantages can make Intel Rocket Lake feel like a last generation platform at times. As for the chassis itself, it's a huge light show with RGB LEDs on almost all sides of the system."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
