The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 is typically more expensive than the ASUS Vivobook 16X but offers high performance for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering tasks with a powerful processor and advanced graphics capabilities. Its larger screen and high refresh rate are suitable for fast-paced visuals but at the cost of reduced battery life and portability due to its size and weight. In contrast, the Vivobook 16X offers good performance for general and engineering use at a more affordable price. It is lighter, making it easier to carry around, but has a slower refresh rate and less graphical power, limiting its suitability for intensive gaming and high-end graphics tasks. Both have quality keyboards, but the Scar 17 has a more comprehensive port selection and RGB keyboard lighting, while the Vivobook 16X has a better webcam and speaker quality. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 excels in gaming and 3D tasks with its more powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU and a higher screen refresh rate of 360, enhancing fast-paced visuals and smoother gameplay. In contrast, the ASUS Vivobook 16X, while still good for gaming and 3D, features a somewhat less capable Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a lower refresh rate of 120, which means it can handle games well but not as fluidly as the Strix Scar 17.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17 and the ASUS Vivobook 16X compare to other laptops
"Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 laptop review: liquid metal 7 nm AMD Zen 3 is stunning. The raw performance increase is absolutely bonkers if you're upgrading from a laptop on Coffee Lake-H or older. The 45 W Ryzen 9 5900HX is neck-to-neck with the thicker, heavier, and hotter Schenker Ultra 17 running on a desktop-class Core i9-11900K despite their wide TDP differences. The performance-per-watt advantages can make Intel Rocket Lake feel like a last generation platform at times. As for the chassis itself, it's a huge light show with RGB LEDs on almost all sides of the system."
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
