The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and ASUS Vivobook 16X cater to different needs. The Strix Scar 15 offers more power for gaming and system-intensive tasks like 3D rendering and machine learning, and has a higher-quality build and better heat management. It's heavier and has a shorter battery life, which impacts portability. On the other hand, the Vivobook 16X is more affordable, lighter, and has a longer battery life, making it better for general use and carrying around. It can still handle demanding tasks but not as well as the Strix Scar 15. If gaming or high-performance computing is crucial, and you don't mind paying more and carrying a heavier laptop, the Strix Scar 15 is preferable. If you're seeking value, portability, and competent performance for everyday tasks, the Vivobook 16X is a solid choice. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 16X for general use, gaming and AI, and content creation.
For general use, both the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and ASUS Vivobook 16X likely provide sharp images and bright displays due to their high resolution and panel quality, making them suitable for everyday activities like browsing and video streaming. In engineering and design, color accuracy is essential, and both laptops might cover a wide color spectrum including DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, ensuring that the colors in detailed projects appear as intended. However, for gaming and 3D work, the lower refresh rate on these laptops means less fluid motion and slower screen updates, which can hinder the experience in fast-paced games or when rendering animations.

How the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 and the ASUS Vivobook 16X compare to other laptops
"Asus continues to refine the ROG Strix Scar lineup with new upgrades. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 offers almost everything you would expect from a gaming laptop at this price. The build quality is great, connectivity options are decent, and there is enough scope for internal upgrades as well. Asus reverts to membrane switches for the keyboard — though not as "clickety" as the opto-mechanical ones we saw with last year's model, they still make for a decent typing and gaming experience. The lack of biometrics in any form is a downer."
"I think the ASUS Vivobook 16X is fantastic. Great performance, decent battery life, good keyboard and trackpad, and a massive screen – just that the screen quality itself is kinda subpar. If you’re okay with the screen, then I think this is an okay laptop. However, I’d like to see a price drop."
