The ASUS ROG Strix offers strong performance for gaming and demanding tasks and may come at a lower price than the Razer Blade, but it's heavier and less portable. The Razer Blade, on the other hand, balances high performance with sleek design and is easier to carry, making it suited for both work and play on the go. However, the Razer generally costs more. Battery life is another consideration; gaming laptops often have shorter battery life due to their powerful components, but if you need longer battery life for productivity, the Razer might edge out the ASUS. In summary, choose ASUS for cost-efficient performance at the expense of portability and battery life, or go for the Razer if you value a slim build and are willing to invest more. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | March 2023
"With the ROG Strix G18, Asus has made an almost consistently good debut in the still quite new 18-inch laptop segment. The base unit case shows a few signs of weakness in the area of stability and is something which has an effect on the perceived quality of the input devices (the chassis tends to rattle a bit). Nevertheless, thanks to generous port features (incl. Thunderbolt 4), a striking design, and extensive lighting (keyboard, LED strip on the front), gamers get a fitting gaming platform."

PCMag

Matthew Buzzi | March 2023
"Razer made a powerful laptop in the Blade 18, showing off a beautiful and fast display and the same high-quality build we’ve come to expect from this product line. It’s also quite expensive, which is hardly a surprise, but bears repeating even in this price range. It’s pricier than the Scar 18 despite an inferior GPU and half the storage, so you really have to want the Blade 18’s design to justify the cost."
