The ASUS ROG Strix G18 is a powerhouse designed for high-performance tasks such as gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning, with its top-tier Intel i9 processor and Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU, ensuring excellent performance in these areas. It also boasts a high refresh rate screen, making it suitable for fast-paced gaming. However, its larger size and weight make it less portable, and it has a shorter battery life, which might not be ideal if you need to work on the go. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED offers a more balanced approach, with a midrange price that's easier on the wallet. It features an energy-efficient OLED display with vibrant colors and deep blacks, which is great for general use and entertainment. While it's not as powerful as the Strix G18, it still provides decent performance for everyday tasks and some light gaming or creative work. Its slim and lightweight design significantly enhances portability, and you'll benefit from longer battery life, making it a better choice for mobile professionals or students who prioritize mobility and screen quality over raw performance. NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | March 2023
"With the ROG Strix G18, Asus has made an almost consistently good debut in the still quite new 18-inch laptop segment. The base unit case shows a few signs of weakness in the area of stability and is something which has an effect on the perceived quality of the input devices (the chassis tends to rattle a bit). Nevertheless, thanks to generous port features (incl. Thunderbolt 4), a striking design, and extensive lighting (keyboard, LED strip on the front), gamers get a fitting gaming platform."

LaptopMag

Darragh Murphy | November 2022
"The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED excels as a capable work machine at an affordable price. It offers commendable performance, thanks to its 12th Gen Intel chip, delivers quality on-screen entertainment with its 15.6-inch OLED display, and can (kind of) get you through a full day of work. Oh, and its special Asus Antibacterial Guard is a nice touch for those who like a clean laptop."
