The ASUS ROG Strix G17 is pricier but offers better performance for intensive engineering tasks, gaming, or 3D/machine learning with a high refresh rate screen and powerful GPU and CPU. However, it's less portable due to its larger size and weight. The Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 is more affordable and portable with a touchscreen and longer battery life, making it suitable for general use and on-the-go productivity. It's less capable for demanding tasks and gaming but boasts an OLED display for vibrant colors and contrast. Consider your needs: performance and gaming versus portability and general use. The ASUS ROG Strix G17 and Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 have displays with high resolution and brightness, making them suitable for general use where clarity and visibility are key. For engineering and design, both offer wide color gamuts ensuring accurate color representation, crucial for detailed and color-sensitive work. How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 360 isn’t a laptop that the Korean manufacturer has shouted from the rooftops about, and it seems to have gotten little attention from anywhere. But, it is absolutely a laptop worth paying attention to. Compared to higher-priced devices, like the Dell XPS 13 (2022) and Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED (2023), it manages to offer a similar day-to-day experience despite the price difference. It’s really hard to justify the extra cash unless a boosted display is a requirement of yours."
