The ASUS ROG Strix G17 is a more expensive and powerful option tailored for gaming, featuring a larger screen, high refresh rate, dedicated graphics card, and hardware suited for intensive tasks like 3D rendering and engineering software. However, it's heavier and has shorter battery life, which affects portability. On the other hand, the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo is less costly, more portable with a longer battery life, and a touch screen, making it suitable for business and general use. Its performance is adequate for typical productivity tasks but not for demanding gaming or engineering applications. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 is very good for engineering and design, while the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo is good.
The ASUS ROG Strix G17 is favored for engineering and design due to its superior AMD Ryzen CPU and Nvidia RTX GPU which excel at processing and graphical tasks, as well as a larger, high-quality display. Meanwhile, the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo offers good performance with its Intel CPU and integrated graphics, coupled with better portability and versatile 2-in-1 functionality, making it suitable but less ideal for demanding engineering work.

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 has a better screen than the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the ASUS ROG Strix G17's high resolution and bright display offer crisp and vibrant visuals making it very appealing, while the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo's slightly lower brightness still provides clear and sharp images. When it comes to engineering and design, the ASUS has a wide color gamut coverage, ensuring accurate color representation for professional work, whereas the MSI still delivers good color accuracy, but not as comprehensive as the ASUS. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the ASUS falls short due to a lower refresh rate, which can affect smoothness and responsiveness during fast-paced scenes, while the MSI also has a lower refresh rate, which similarly limits its performance in such tasks.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"MSI wants to prove that it can do more than just gaming laptops and the Summit E13 Flip is a great example of what the manufacturer is capable of especially in terms of aesthetics and performance. Normally for subnotebooks or convertibles, TDP and performance are often below average as makers want to meet slimmer designs and lower weight targets. The Summit manages to outperform others in its size class and category while still looking sleek and portable in the process. If you want a convertible that won't throttle significantly when under load, then this MSI will be one of the better options you can find."
