If you prioritize high frame rates in gaming or need robust performance for tasks like 3D rendering or machine learning, the ASUS ROG Strix G17 could be the better choice for you. However, if your work involves engineering software and multitasking, and you value slightly better build quality and prefer a professional aesthetic, the MSI Raider GE77Hx might suit you better. The ASUS model usually costs less which could be an advantage if budget is a concern, but both laptops offer similar storage capacity and screen size. The MSI Raider has a battery that slightly outperforms the ASUS, but both have relatively short battery life, which could be a limiting factor if portability and usage away from power outlets is critical. Both have similar weight, but keep in mind carrying these along with their power bricks might not be ideal for frequent travel due to their size and weight. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the MSI Raider GE77Hx compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"The MSI Raider GE77 offers a lot of power for a lot of money. The main components consist of a Core i9-12900HX CPU, a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU (175 watts TGP, 16 GB VRAM), and 64 GB of RAM, which makes for a high overall performance level. The GeForce GPU in particular scores some of the highest scores we have seen from this chip. Both the CPU and the GPU are able to run at continuously high clock speeds. The relatively high heat and noise emissions match our expectations for this device class. With approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours, the battery life is good for a powerful 4K laptop."
