If you prioritize top-tier performance for tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, and you don't mind a higher price and slightly more weight, then the MSI Raider GE76 is the superior option, as it packs more power and memory. However, if affordability and a lighter device for easier portability are more important to you, and you're okay with somewhat lower performance that still handles general use and gaming well, the ASUS ROG Strix G17 is a compelling choice. Both laptops share similar screen sizes and qualities, but the ASUS has a slightly longer battery life for typical use. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE76 is very good for general use, while the ASUS ROG Strix G17 is good.
The ASUS ROG Strix G17, with its high-end AMD CPU and ample RAM, ensures smooth multitasking for general use, complemented by a quality IPS screen, but its relatively lower battery life and bulk affect its portability. In contrast, the MSI Raider GE76 boasts a powerful Intel CPU with double the RAM, superior screen brightness for clearer viewing, and longer battery life, though it also suffers from limited portability due to its weight and size. Both laptops are equipped with large, high-resolution displays, efficient heat management, and very good keyboards, making them suitable for various general use scenarios despite being less travel-friendly.

The MSI Raider GE76 has a better screen than the ASUS ROG Strix G17 for gaming and AI, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Strix G17 and MSI Raider GE76 have high-resolution displays with bright panels, making them excellent for general use, as text and images appear sharp and vivid. For engineering and design tasks, their extensive color gamut coverage ensures accurate color reproduction, which is crucial for precision work. However, their screens have lower refresh rates, which, while adequate for many tasks, don't match the high rates favored by gamers who need smooth motion for fast-paced action.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the MSI Raider GE76 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"The MSI Raider GE76: with Alder Lake and RTX 3080 Ti to gaming heaven. Yes, MSI could improve some aspects (like the quality of the webcam), but the manufacturer offers a very convincing and balanced overall package. The biggest advantage is definitely the immense performance potential. The combination of Core i9-12900HK, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 RAM and two NVMe SSDs offers a lot of performance for the next couple of years and plenty of power for 3D applications. Most titles would run smoothly on an external 4K screen no matter the quality preset. We came away impressed with the integrated 360 Hz panel's fast response times and good color accuracy."
