The ASUS ROG Strix G17 offers a larger screen with a higher resolution, which may provide a better visual experience and is suited for intensive gaming, but it also comes at a higher price and less portability due to its size and weight. The Lenovo LOQ 16 is more affordable, lighter, and slightly more portable, making it easier to carry around, but it has a smaller screen with lower resolution, and less powerful graphics, which may not be as suitable for heavy gaming or demanding tasks. If you need high performance for gaming or engineering work and can manage the extra weight and cost, the ASUS could be the better choice, while the Lenovo is a more budget-friendly option for general use and decent performance in a more compact form. PCMag

Mark Knapp | October 2023
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."

NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | September 2023
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
