In deciding between the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the Dell Inspiron 14 7435, consider that the ASUS ROG Strix G17 is better suited for gaming and performance-intensive tasks due to its more powerful hardware, but it is likely bulkier and heavier, making it less portable. The Dell Inspiron 14 7435, on the other hand, is more likely to be lightweight and portable, suitable for general use and easier to carry around, but with less power for demanding applications. If battery life is important, the Dell is likely to be superior as gaming laptops like the ASUS tend to have shorter battery life due to their high-performance components. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 has a better screen than the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When choosing a laptop, consider that the ASUS ROG Strix G17, with its superior panel type, resolution, and brightness, provides a crisp and vivid display, enhancing the experience for general use and detailed engineering work, but its lower refresh rate may not be ideal for gaming and 3D applications where screen fluidity is a priority. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 14 7435 offers a balanced display with adequate resolution and brightness for daily tasks and engineering applications, but its color range and refresh rate aren't optimized for high-end design work or fast-paced gaming. Therefore, prioritize the ASUS for a mix of productivity and design tasks, or opt for the Dell if you seek a cost-effective solution for everyday use with occasional engineering applications, while neither is tailored for gaming enthusiasts seeking high refresh rates.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."
