If you need high performance for engineering or gaming, the ASUS ROG Strix G17 has a more powerful graphics card and a faster refresh rate, making it better suited for these tasks. However, it's heavier and has a lower battery life. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is lighter and has longer battery life, which makes it more portable and suitable for general use. With more RAM, it can handle multitasking better but has a less powerful graphics card and a slower screen refresh rate, limiting its abilities for intensive gaming or 3D software. Both have similar storage and high-quality screens, though the ROG’s screen is better for fast motion and colors. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 has a better screen than the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
When considering screen quality for general use, the ASUS ROG Strix G17's superior resolution and brightness provide clear and vivid visuals, offering users a more immersive experience for daily tasks, while the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 offers respectable visuals that are suitable but less striking. For engineering and design, the ASUS ROG Strix G17 stands out with its wide color gamuts, ensuring that professionals see more accurate colors and finer details in their projects, an area where the Zenbook Pro 17 performs well but doesn't match the Strix's capabilities. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17's lower refresh rate holds it back, as responsive, fluid motion is crucial here, with the ASUS ROG Strix G17 also falling short despite its other high-quality display attributes.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
