If performance during intensive engineering tasks or gaming is a priority and a larger screen is beneficial, consider the ASUS ROG Strix G17; however, it is heavier and less portable. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X offers a superior display with higher resolution and touchscreen capabilities, better suited for creative tasks, is lighter and has a longer battery life, making it more portable. The Zenbook is typically more expensive, so if budget is a consideration, the Strix G17 may align better with financial constraints. Both have ample storage and memory, but the Strix G17 provides newer CPU and GPU technology for demanding applications. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G17 has a better screen than the ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X has a better screen for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, both laptops offer high-resolution displays with bright and vibrant panels, ensuring crisp visuals and clear text that enhance everyday tasks and media consumption. When it comes to engineering and design, both provide excellent color accuracy and wide color gamuts, which are essential for professionals who need precise color representation for their work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, despite their high resolution and color fidelity, their screens fall short due to lower refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid motion and a less responsive experience during fast-paced action.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
"The new Zenbook Pro 16X is more powerful, quieter and doesn't need to shy away from dedicated workstations and gamers. It is also comparatively compact, and our test device is the best Zenbook that we've reviewed so far. It seems equally suitable for content creators and gamers or anyone looking for a very powerful laptop that is still slim."
