For a balance of performance and portability, the ASUS ROG Strix G17 is a strong contender with its powerful processor and high-refresh-rate display, making it ideal for engineering tasks and gaming. However, its larger size and weight may not be as convenient for frequent travelers. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED offers a more compact and lightweight design, perfect for on-the-go use, and its OLED screen provides vibrant colors and deep blacks, enhancing media consumption and general productivity. While it may not match the gaming and engineering performance of the G17, it still handles everyday tasks with ease and is more budget-friendly. Consider the Vivobook for its superior display quality and portability if you prioritize these over raw performance. Give Feedback

How the ASUS ROG Strix G17 and the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Strix G17 is an attractive but unbalanced gaming laptop. Its potent AMD Ryzen 9 processor excels in 1080p gaming, but playing at 1440p leaves the middling GeForce RTX 4060 GPU shouldering most of the burden. The display is exceptionally colorful, which is handy for content creators, but since this is a gaming laptop it would be better served with improved HDR capabilities. If battery life isn't a priority, the Strix G17 could serve as a designer by day and a gamer by night."
