Considering the higher cost of the ASUS ROG Strix G16, it offers a more robust build and a higher refresh rate display, which is ideal for intensive gaming and tasks with a lot of graphical movement. However, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" provides a higher resolution screen, which gives better image clarity, making it suitable for creative work like video editing that benefits from higher pixel density. If budget is a concern and you need a device for everyday tasks and moderate gaming, the Lenovo might be the right fit. However, if you're looking for top-tier gaming performance and can afford a heftier price tag, the ASUS could be a better investment. Both laptops have similar storage and memory, but the ASUS might provide a slight edge in processing due to its Intel CPU, which is something to consider if you run demanding, CPU-intensive applications. How the ASUS ROG Strix G16 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"With the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the Asus ROG Stix G16 hits the sweet spot between performance and cooling. The G16 also does not have to shy away from direct comparison with its supposedly stronger family member, the ROG Strix Scar 18 with its RTX 4090, as most benchmarks of the two laptops are very close to each other. Moreover, the G16 should be significantly cheaper. Depending on the supplier, the price difference here could be almost US$ 2,000. In the 2023 model series, Asus has significantly leveled out the differences between the two high-end lines."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
