The ASUS ROG Strix G16 is less expensive and offers better battery life, which could be suitable for general use and portable gaming. It also has a higher 16:10 display aspect ratio and more USB-C ports. However, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H, while more expensive, provides a larger screen size, higher refresh rate for smoother visuals, and more powerful graphics capabilities, making it better for intensive 3D, machine learning, and engineering tasks. The bigger screen and power demand of the Aorus 17H, though, means it's less portable and not as suited for all-day use away from power sources as the ASUS model. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the ASUS ROG Strix G16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The ASUS ROG Strix G16 likely offers sufficient resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and clarity of detail for engineering designs, but falls short on high refresh rates crucial for smooth 3D rendering and fast-paced gaming visuals. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H's very good screen quality for general activities can be attributed to superior panel type, higher resolution, and brightness levels that enhance viewing comfort and image sharpness. However, for both laptops, the poor quality for gaming and 3D work suggests that despite acceptable resolutions, their panels don't provide the high refresh rates needed for optimal motion handling in these demanding scenarios.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G16 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H compare to other laptops
"With the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the Asus ROG Stix G16 hits the sweet spot between performance and cooling. The G16 also does not have to shy away from direct comparison with its supposedly stronger family member, the ROG Strix Scar 18 with its RTX 4090, as most benchmarks of the two laptops are very close to each other. Moreover, the G16 should be significantly cheaper. Depending on the supplier, the price difference here could be almost US$ 2,000. In the 2023 model series, Asus has significantly leveled out the differences between the two high-end lines."
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
