The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Strix G15 has a more powerful GPU and a higher screen refresh rate, both key for smooth gaming and 3D performance, whereas the Dell Inspiron 16 5635, while capable, may not deliver the same level of graphics performance or fluidity in visuals due to its lower-tier GPU and refresh rate. Although the CPU and screen quality do play a role in overall performance and viewing experience, they're secondary to the GPU and refresh rate when prioritizing gaming and 3D tasks.

If you prioritize a vivid and sharp display for everyday tasks, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 excels with its superior panel type, higher resolution, and brightness levels, making text and images crisp and vibrant. For engineering and design work where accurate color representation is crucial, the ASUS again stands out due to its better coverage of color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, ensuring more true-to-life colors. However, for gaming and 3D applications where the smoothness of motion is key, the ASUS falls short because it lacks the high refresh rates necessary for fluid visuals, despite its decent resolution and panel quality.

How the ASUS ROG Strix G15 and the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 compare to other laptops
"The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a successful high-performance 15-inch laptop. The Asus ROG Strix impresses with an elaborate design and fast hardware. The latter can unleash its potential well in the large 15-inch case and achieve a decent performance boost compared to the previous generation. Especially the stunning 300 Hz display as well as the RTX 3070 and its generous TDP give gamers their money's worth. Asus didn't neglect seemingly small details, either, such as the keyboard and the maintenance options. The ROG Strix G15 offers a lot of pure performance and excellent workmanship in a 15-inch format, but connectivity leaves something to be desired."
"Compared to the previous year’s Inspiron, Dell upgraded the screen aspect ratio on this generation, but also transitioned to a more minimalistic centered keyboard flanked by up-firing speakers. The 16-inch screen is huge plus and I really appreciate the extra real estate without sacrificing the footprint much. This year’s model is a little larger than last, though, as the former model was already very small for a 15 incher."
