If you prioritize performance for gaming or resource-intensive tasks and prefer a compact device with a high-resolution touchscreen, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 may suit you well, but keep in mind its higher cost and shorter battery life. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" offers a larger screen, better battery life, and comes at a lower price, yet has less storage and a bulkier form factor, which may affect portability. For general use, both laptops perform well, but for more specialized tasks like 3D rendering or engineering applications, the ASUS may provide a slight edge with its more powerful hardware. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" is good.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 stands out for engineering and design uses due to its powerful Intel i9 processor, dedicated Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics, and high-resolution touch screen, providing exceptional performance and screen quality essential for demanding applications. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 offers a competent AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, but its larger screen has lower resolution and is not touch-capable, trading some display finesse for a larger view and making it slightly less ideal for detail-oriented work, while still remaining a solid choice for general engineering tasks.

How the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
