If you're looking for high performance for gaming or intensive tasks like 3D modeling or engineering software, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 would be a good choice despite its higher price. On the other hand, if you value portability, longer battery life, and only need a laptop for general use such as web browsing, watching videos, or using office applications, the HP Stream 14" offers a budget-friendly option with adequate performance. Keep in mind that while the ASUS offers more power for demanding tasks, it may also be heavier and have a shorter battery life compared to the more lightweight and energy-efficient HP Stream. "The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"With half of the main system memory and a fraction of the storage that we recommend in any budget Windows laptop, the HP Stream 14 does not impress. Perhaps it doesn't need to, depending on your reference point. For the price, you're getting a functional laptop with Windows 10, which already places the HP Stream 14 above most Chromebooks on that merit alone. Still, in this price range, you can't do much worse, but you can do better. In fact, for just $100 more, you can grab the much superior budget option, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14."
