The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is often less expensive and offers better screen resolution, touch support, a higher refresh rate, and is much lighter, making it more portable. It's equipped with a newer CPU and a capable GPU, which supports hardware ray tracing, DLSS, and intense gaming, although with a modestly shorter battery life compared to the Aorus 5. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 5, while more expensive, has a larger screen size, a more powerful GPU, and a significantly better battery, but it's heavier and doesn't support touch. It's still a strong contender for gaming and engineering tasks, with particularly high performance for 3D rendering and machine learning. If you prioritize portability and touch functionality over screen size and battery life, the ASUS may be the better option; if you favor gaming and raw performance over portability, consider the Aorus 5. How the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the Gigabyte Aorus 5 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 5 SE4 is a capable mainstream gaming notebook that will run the latest PC games with aplomb. However, it's not your stereotypical flashy gaming PC. Gigabyte has added some interesting tweaks. For example, the webcam placement and its Microsoft Azure AI tool — to automatically switch between power modes — are unusual for this genre. But more importantly, the pricing is fairly competitive and reasonable."
