The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 offers superior gaming performance, with a more powerful graphics card suitable for 3D work and machine learning applications, but comes at a higher price. It's more portable due to its smaller size, lighter weight, and offers a higher screen refresh rate, which is good for fast-paced gaming. The Dell XPS 15, however, provides better battery life, a larger screen, and comes at a lower cost. It is heavier and less suited for intensive gaming but has better build quality and is more suitable for general use and professional work that doesn't require heavy graphics processing. Both have comparable processors and RAM, and high-quality keyboards, but if gaming and portability are less of a priority and you're looking to save money, the Dell XPS 15 might be a better choice. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has a better screen than the Dell XPS 15 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has a high-resolution display with great color accuracy, which makes it ideal for engineering and design tasks that require precise color representation, but its lower refresh rate can be a disadvantage for gaming or 3D work where smoother motion is crucial. The Dell XPS 15 also provides a sharp image and good color coverage suitable for both general usage and professional design work, ensuring that details and colors are clear and accurate. However, like the ASUS, it may not be the best fit for gaming or 3D applications due to a lower refresh rate, which could lead to less fluid motion in fast-paced scenarios.

How the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and the Dell XPS 15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"The 2023 Dell XPS 15 is more or less exactly what you'd expect from the company flagship. Its fresh components deliver measurably superior power and longevity, while the machine's premium build and design remain intact. It may not be overly exciting, but XPS loyalists and upgraders should be more than happy."
