The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is pricier but delivers superior performance for intensive tasks like 3D rendering and gaming, with a high-end processor and graphics card, more RAM, and higher storage capacity. Its compact size magnifies portability, yet its smaller screen might be a drawback for those preferring larger displays. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook 17 is more wallet-friendly and suitable for basic tasks with lesser performance components. It boasts a larger screen, though this also makes it heavier and less portable. The Vivobook may struggle with demanding applications, catering better to general use than gaming or engineering tasks. If battery life is crucial, both offer similar usage times. Choose the ROG Flow Z13 for heavy-duty tasks and gaming, or the Vivobook 17 for cost-effective general use and a more spacious display. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 excels in screen quality for general use and engineering due to its high resolution and brightness, coupled with exceptional color accuracy that meets the needs for detailed design work. However, its lower refresh rate is less ideal for gaming and 3D applications, where smoother motion is paramount. The ASUS Vivobook 17's screen offers adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and some engineering but lacks the advanced color gamut and high refresh rate critical for color-sensitive design work and high-speed gaming or 3D rendering.

"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
"The ASUS Vivobook 17 is an affordable 17-inch laptop with passive cooling. On one hand, you get a really quiet and cool work device with a good system performance, many connections, good maintenance options, speakers acceptable for multimedia enjoyment, and a sharp and clear matte FHD IPS display with the Asus VivoBook 17 (F712JA). On the other hand, the USB-C port lacks Power Delivery and DisplayPort, and the display, a higher brightness and better color space coverage."
