For general use, the Apple MacBook Pro 16 (2023) offers a high-quality screen and longer battery life, making it well-suited for on-the-go professionals who require a premium machine with good performance and a focus on display and audio quality. However, it comes at a higher price. The ASUS ROG Strix G16, on the other hand, is more affordable and designed for gaming with its dedicated graphics card and higher refresh rate screen, but it has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. It's a better fit if you prioritize gaming or performance-intensive tasks like 3D rendering or machine learning over portability and premium build. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 16 (2023) is excellent for general use, while the ASUS ROG Strix G16 is good.
The Apple MacBook Pro 16 (2023) is appreciated for general use because of its high-performing Apple M2 Pro CPU and sizable RAM, alongside a high-quality Mini LED screen, contributing to better portability with its lighter weight and a longer battery life. Conversely, while the ASUS ROG Strix G16 also has good CPU and RAM, its larger size and shorter battery life make it less portable, and its IPS screen, although good, does not match the MacBook in terms of screen quality.

The Apple MacBook Pro 16 has a better screen than the ASUS ROG Strix G16 for general use, AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Apple MacBook Pro 16, with its high-resolution and bright display, offers crisp and vibrant visuals for everyday tasks, along with a wide color gamut that caters to precision in engineering and design work. How the Apple MacBook Pro 16 (2023) and the ASUS ROG Strix G16 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Pro 16 2023: M2 Max challenges GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. The new MacBook Pro 16 2023 with the M2 Max SoC is the most powerful laptop Apple has on sale right now. While we do not get the expected performance and efficiency improvements from completely new 3 nm chips, which we expected ahead of the launch, the 2023 model is still a solid update. The CPU of the M2 Max can be up to 20 % faster than the old model and we also see an advantage of 25-30 % for the GPU with 38 cores. However, both components also consume more power, so the efficiency did not change that much under maximum load."
"With the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080, the Asus ROG Stix G16 hits the sweet spot between performance and cooling. The G16 also does not have to shy away from direct comparison with its supposedly stronger family member, the ROG Strix Scar 18 with its RTX 4090, as most benchmarks of the two laptops are very close to each other. Moreover, the G16 should be significantly cheaper. Depending on the supplier, the price difference here could be almost US$ 2,000. In the 2023 model series, Asus has significantly leveled out the differences between the two high-end lines."
