When considering the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) versus the LG Gram 17, you should focus on your specific needs. The MacBook Pro offers a sleek design, high build quality, and is well-suited for general use with good performance and exceptional battery life; it operates silently as it has no fan. If you prioritize a large screen and plan to engage in tasks that demand more from your CPU, such as light engineering work, the LG Gram 17 is a better fit with its larger display, significantly more storage and memory. However, it trades off some portability due to its larger size, and the battery life is shorter than that of the MacBook Pro. Keep in mind the operating systems as well; MacOS on the MacBook might offer a different experience from Windows on the LG Gram, depending on your personal preference and specific software requirements. How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the LG Gram 17 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The LG Gram 17 is a light office laptop with a large display and great battery life. The newest incarnation of the Gram 17 can be classified as a model update. LG uses the predecessor's compact, light magnesium case along with an identical port configuration (including 2x Thunderbolt 4) and keyboard. Changes can be found in the hardware. With the Gram 17 (2022), LG offers a light (approx. 1,350 g), mobile work device - and finally with a matte display."
