If you prioritize performance for intensive tasks such as engineering or 3D applications, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) with the M2 chip will serve you better, albeit at a higher cost. However, the LG Gram 16, although less expensive and with a larger screen, may not match the MacBook's performance but offers double the RAM, which can be beneficial for multitasking and everyday activities. The MacBook boasts longer battery life, which is ideal for working on the go without frequent charging, while the LG Gram is lighter, enhancing its portability. Both have high-quality displays, but the MacBook's screen has a higher brightness and a better contrast ratio, providing a superior visual experience. Either laptop lacks optimal suitability for gaming. The choice depends on whether you value higher performance and display quality over cost, additional RAM, and portability. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 has a better screen than the LG Gram 16 for general use, AI, and engineering and design.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13's Retina display offers vivid colors and high resolution, which provides clarity for everyday tasks and precision for engineering and design work, but its standard refresh rate limits its ability to render smooth motion for 3D applications. The LG Gram 16's screen, while also offering high resolution and decent color reproduction for both daily activities and professional design tasks, similarly lacks a high refresh rate, affecting its performance in gaming and 3D scenarios where fluid visuals are crucial. Overall, both laptops excel in delivering sharp and color-accurate visuals for general use and professional design, but fall short for high-motion activities like 3D modeling and gaming due to their refresh rate limitations.

The Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and LG Gram 16 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Apple MacBook Pro 13 is limited in its 3D capabilities by its integrated M2 GPU, which is less powerful than dedicated gaming graphics cards, but its high-quality screen offers good resolution and color accuracy; however, many games are incompatible with its MacOS. The LG Gram 16, while it has the more gaming-friendly Windows OS and a larger screen that benefits gaming and 3D applications, also relies on an integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU and standard refresh rate, which are suitable but not optimal for high-performance gaming or advanced 3D tasks.

How the Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2022) and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
"The MacBook Pro 13 is still a very good subnotebook. The 2022 MacBook Pro 13 might look like recycling at first, because the device is completely identical to the old model expect for the new M2 SoC. We have to admit that we were surprised to see another iteration of the MBP 13 as well. The laptop is obviously familiar, but this does not change the fact that it is still a very good subnotebook. You get an excellent chassis with good stability, a very good display, good input devices and the new M2 chip is very powerful and efficient."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
