The Apple MacBook Air (2020) is known for its sleek design, long battery life, and solid performance for everyday tasks, making it excellent for general use and on-the-go productivity. Its lightweight design offers great portability, albeit with less capacity for intensive tasks like 3D rendering or high-end gaming. On the other hand, the MSI Pulse GL66 is tailored for performance-heavy users, offering better gaming and engineering capabilities due to a more powerful graphics card and processor. However, the tradeoff comes in the form of reduced battery life and increased weight, making it less portable than the MacBook Air. If portability and battery life for everyday use are your priorities and you are satisfied with moderate performance, the MacBook Air may serve you well and save you some money. Otherwise, if you require high performance for gaming or engineering tasks and don't mind spending more and sacrificing some portability, the MSI Pulse GL66 could be the right choice. Give Feedback

The MSI Pulse GL66 is good for gaming and AI, while the Apple MacBook Air (2020) is only fair.
The Apple MacBook Air (2020) with its Apple M1 GPU is fair for 3D because it has a GPU that is less powerful than dedicated gaming GPUs, and a standard screen refresh rate suitable for general use, while the MSI Pulse GL66 is good for gaming and 3D due to its powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU and higher screen refresh rate which is ideal for fast-paced gaming; additionally, since many games are not available for MacOS, the Windows 10 Home running on the MSI supports a broader range of games.

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The MacBook Air's Retina display with high resolution and brightness offers crisp and vibrant visuals, making it ideal for general use and engineering tasks where color accuracy is crucial. However, its standard refresh rate limits its effectiveness for 3D applications, where smoother motion representation is required. Conversely, the MSI Pulse GL66's display, while having a fair resolution and brightness suitable for daily tasks, may not offer the same level of color fidelity for professional design work and lacks the higher refresh rate desired for the best gaming and 3D experiences.

How the Apple MacBook Air (2020) and the MSI Pulse GL66 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
