The MacBook Air (2020) offers excellent build quality, a high-resolution screen, and a lightweight design, making it ideal for portability and general use, especially with a longer battery life and silent operation due to its fanless design. It runs MacOS and is a good fit for users within the Apple ecosystem. On the other hand, the HP EliteBook 845 G9 provides a slightly larger screen, more storage, and double the RAM, which could better support multitasking and intensive engineering tasks. It runs Windows 11 Pro and has a greater variety of ports, including HDMI, making it well-suited for business users who may appreciate these features for connectivity and expandability. However, it is slightly heavier and has a lower battery life, which could impact its portability. Give Feedback

How the Apple MacBook Air (2020) and the HP EliteBook 845 G9 compare to other laptops
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
