The ASUS Zenbook S 13 is typically less expensive and offers a high-resolution OLED screen suited for general use and a lightweight design, making it very portable and practical for frequent travelers or mobile professionals. It includes impressive storage and RAM, and its integrated graphics are suitable for casual use, but not intensive gaming or heavy 3D tasks. On the other hand, the MSI Pulse GL66 is slightly more expensive, with a powerful dedicated GPU and a high refresh-rate screen, making it an excellent choice for gamers and engineers needing to run demanding software but it's bulkier and offers shorter battery life, making it less convenient for on-the-go use. Andreas Osthoff | May 2023
"The Asus Zenbook S 13 is the slimmest OLED ultrabook worldwide struggles with annoying fans. The new Zenbook S 13 leaves us with mixed feelings, particularly since last year's model was so good. Asus has completely reworked the device, making the laptop noticeably slimmer. The result also looks good and the case makes a great impression, particularly also in terms of the stability. The new plasma ceramic surface feels great, and there are no problems with fingerprints. In addition, it now includes some of the known connections such as an HDMI port and a regular USB-A connection, which is a good achievement in such a slim device."

NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | April 2022
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
