The ASUS Zenbook S 13 is less expensive and offers a better screen quality and longer battery life, which might make it suitable for general use and portability. It's also lighter and thinner, with higher color accuracy, making it a good choice for tasks that involve visuals. However, the Gigabyte Aorus 5, while more expensive, has a powerful graphics card and a high refresh rate display, making it better for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks despite its shorter battery life and heavier build. The Aorus 5 is also better equipped for intensive engineering software due to its superior GPU performance. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | May 2023
"The Asus Zenbook S 13 is the slimmest OLED ultrabook worldwide struggles with annoying fans. The new Zenbook S 13 leaves us with mixed feelings, particularly since last year's model was so good. Asus has completely reworked the device, making the laptop noticeably slimmer. The result also looks good and the case makes a great impression, particularly also in terms of the stability. The new plasma ceramic surface feels great, and there are no problems with fingerprints. In addition, it now includes some of the known connections such as an HDMI port and a regular USB-A connection, which is a good achievement in such a slim device."

Can Buy or Not

Vincent Chang | June 2022
"The Gigabyte Aorus 5 SE4 is a capable mainstream gaming notebook that will run the latest PC games with aplomb. However, it's not your stereotypical flashy gaming PC. Gigabyte has added some interesting tweaks. For example, the webcam placement and its Microsoft Azure AI tool — to automatically switch between power modes — are unusual for this genre. But more importantly, the pricing is fairly competitive and reasonable."
