The Acer Swift X (2021) is often less expensive than the HP EliteBook 845 G9 while offering a capable Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU suitable for gaming and 3D work. However, it comes with half the amount of RAM and a battery that won't last as long as the EliteBook's. The EliteBook also provides a slightly higher resolution display, more modern processor, and double the RAM, which is beneficial for multitasking and engineering tasks. It is, however, somewhat more expensive and less ideal for high-end gaming due to its integrated graphics. If cost is a critical factor and you need a laptop for gaming or graphic-intensive tasks, the Swift X may be a better choice. On the other hand, if you're willing to invest more for a more recent model with better multitasking capabilities and longer battery life, the EliteBook could suit you better. Give Feedback

The HP EliteBook 845 G9 has a better screen than the Acer Swift X for general use, engineering and design, and content creation.
For general use, the Acer Swift X and the HP EliteBook 845 G9 have screens with sufficient resolution and brightness, providing clear and vivid displays that are comfortable for daily tasks like browsing and video streaming. In engineering and design, both laptops offer good color coverage, essential for accuracy in graphic design and photo editing, but they might not cover the full spectrum of professional-grade color spaces. However, for gaming and 3D applications, their screens fall short due to lower refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid motion and slower response times, detracting from the immersive experience.

How the Acer Swift X (2021) and the HP EliteBook 845 G9 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
