The HP Dragonfly Pro 14" has a better screen than the Acer Swift X for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the Acer Swift X and the HP Dragonfly Pro have panels with adequate resolution and brightness, making them suitable for tasks like web browsing and streaming video. Engineering and design professionals will appreciate their wide color gamuts allowing for more precise color work, even though they might not match the top-tier displays specialized for color-critical tasks. However, for gaming and 3D applications that demand fast refresh rates for smooth motion, neither laptop is ideal, as they prioritize other display attributes over the high refresh rates preferred in those scenarios.

How the Acer Swift X (2021) and the HP Dragonfly Pro 14" compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"I’d say that the HP Dragonfly Pro checks off most of the boxes for this freelancer. It feels nice to use, is zippy and responsive, has great speakers, and even has a relatively sane price. Although it’s an unorthodox choice to pick AMD for this kind of machine, it’s clear that when Ryzen is given a chance to shine, it can kick a lot of butt."
