The Acer Swift X (2021) is a more expensive option compared to the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 but offers better performance, especially for intensive tasks like engineering, gaming, or 3D/machine learning due to its stronger processor and dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics. It also has a longer battery life, is lighter, and includes features such as a backlit keyboard and hardware ray tracing. On the other hand, the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is more affordable, and while it has a larger screen and higher screen refresh rate, its performance for demanding tasks is not as strong due to its Intel i3 processor and integrated graphics. It has shorter battery life and is slightly heavier, making it less ideal for on-the-go use. Choose the Acer if performance and portability are priorities, and the Dell if budget and screen size are bigger concerns. Give Feedback

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The Acer Swift X offers a sharper display with higher resolution and brightness, making it suitable for everyday tasks and detailed work like engineering and design, where clarity and the ability to accurately represent colors is crucial. However, its lower refresh rate limits its appeal for 3D applications and gaming, where fluid motion is essential. The Dell Inspiron 15 3520’s screen, while adequate for daily activities and non-critical design work, falls short for professionals in engineering and design due to less accurate color representation and for gamers due to its insufficient refresh rate.

How the Acer Swift X (2021) and the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"Dell's Inspiron 15 (3525) is a peppy-enough and affordable-enough home or remote work machine, but it's not very ambitious; it does little to go beyond the basics. More the concern: It’s readily overshadowed by a number of machines that outperform and outclass it. Even if the Inspiron can get the job done today, its competition has the mettle to keep doing the job tomorrow in a way the Inspiron simply can’t promise. Plus, those alternatives are much more enjoyable after work."
