The Acer Swift X boasts a lighter design and longer battery life, suited for those who value portability and all-day use without frequent charging. It is more budget-friendly yet offers solid performance for general tasks. In contrast, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 comes with higher processing power and a better graphics card, making it ideal for demanding 3D tasks, machine learning, gaming, and engineering software. However, it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, which may be a concern for on-the-go users. Both have 1080p screens, but the ASUS screen is larger and has a higher refresh rate, improving the visual experience, especially during fast-paced games. Give Feedback

For general use, what matters most is the sharpness of text, color accuracy for viewing photos and videos, and the comfort of using the laptop in various lighting conditions, where both Acer Swift X and ASUS ROG Strix G15 would suffice with their resolution and brightness. However, for engineering and design work, professionals need wider color gamuts to ensure that colors are reproduced accurately for print and digital media; both laptops offer good screen quality but may fall short of the highest color standards required by some professionals. When it comes to 3D work and gaming, a high refresh rate is paramount for smooth motion and reducing visual stutter or tearing, which is a weak point for these laptops, causing them to offer poor screen quality for such tasks.

How the Acer Swift X (2021) and the ASUS ROG Strix G15 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a successful high-performance 15-inch laptop. The Asus ROG Strix impresses with an elaborate design and fast hardware. The latter can unleash its potential well in the large 15-inch case and achieve a decent performance boost compared to the previous generation. Especially the stunning 300 Hz display as well as the RTX 3070 and its generous TDP give gamers their money's worth. Asus didn't neglect seemingly small details, either, such as the keyboard and the maintenance options. The ROG Strix G15 offers a lot of pure performance and excellent workmanship in a 15-inch format, but connectivity leaves something to be desired."
