The Acer Swift X (2022) is more portable and has longer battery life, which is ideal for on-the-go use like daily tasks and light creative work. However, the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro has better performance for intensive tasks such as 3D rendering, gaming, and engineering applications. It also has a higher-quality display with better color accuracy but is heavier and has shorter battery life, making it more suitable as a desktop replacement than a travel companion. If portability and battery life are key for you, choose the Acer, but if performance in demanding applications is a must, go for the Lenovo. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i is very good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Swift X (2022) is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i offers superior performance in gaming and 3D applications due in large part to its more powerful Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card and a higher screen refresh rate suitable for smoother visuals. In contrast, the Acer Swift X, equipped with the less powerful Nvidia RTX 3050 and a lower screen refresh rate, provides a fair experience but at a level below what is delivered by the Legion Pro 5i for these particular tasks.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Swift X (2022) is good.
The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i excels in engineering and design use mainly due to its superior main processor and graphics unit which deliver higher performance, especially for demanding tasks, alongside a larger and more vibrant display with a higher refresh rate for smoother visuals and more precise color work. Meanwhile, the Acer Swift X is lighter and offers better battery life, making it more suitable for users in need of portability, though its performance and screen quality are somewhat less robust compared to the Lenovo.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i has a better screen than the Acer Swift X for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Acer Swift X offers a display that provides crisp visuals and bright images suitable for everyday tasks and professional work like engineering and design, due to its decent resolution and panel type ensuring clear image quality and color accuracy, but its lower refresh rate holds it back for gaming and 3D work. The Lenovo Legion Pro 5i, with its higher color gamut coverage, ensures that engineers and designers see consistent and precise colors, which is crucial for their work; the robust display specs enhance general computing experiences as well. However, for gaming and 3D applications, despite the Legion's robust features, its poor refresh rate limits the smoothness and responsiveness that gamers and 3D professionals typically seek.

How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The midpriced Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 follows some of our favorite gaming machines, including last year's model and the higher-end Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 tested earlier this year. But pedigree doesn't count for much in the computer world, and gaming laptops require a certain level of power and graphics performance to justify their prices. The Pro 5i Gen 8 just doesn't do that, offering middling CPU and GPU performance rather than the sort of muscle that would make it a great value."
