The Acer Swift X (2022) typically offers higher performance suitable for intensive tasks like 3D work, machine learning, or gaming due to better processing power and advanced graphics capabilities. It usually has a price that reflects its higher-end specifications. On the other hand, the HP Stream 14" is more affordable and can handle general use like web browsing, video streaming, and document editing, but it might struggle with more demanding applications. The Swift X may also have better build quality and a longer battery life. If portability is a major concern, consider the weight and size differences, as the HP Stream is likely lighter and easier to carry around but with compromises in performance and build quality compared to the Swift X. Consider your workflow and priorities: if you need a machine for demanding applications and are willing to invest in it, go for the Swift X; if your tasks are light and budget is tight, the HP Stream 14" could serve you well. The Acer Swift X (2022) is good for general use, while the HP Stream 14" is only fair.
The Acer Swift X (2022) is superior for general use because it is equipped with a robust processor and dedicated graphics card, offers a higher resolution IPS display for clearer and more vibrant visuals, and maintains a balance between performance and portability with good battery life. On the other hand, the HP Stream 14" is considered fair due to its modest processor, basic integrated graphics, and lower-quality TN display with reduced battery capacity, making it less suited for multitasking or media consumption despite its very good portability.

The Acer Swift X (2022) is only fair for gaming and AI, while the HP Stream 14" is poor.
The Acer Swift X (2022) is fair for gaming and 3D largely because it has a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU which is significantly more powerful compared to the HP Stream 14's integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600, and it also features a higher quality IPS display which offers better color reproduction and viewing angles than the HP's TN panel, even though both have the same screen refresh rate. Additionally, the Acer's more advanced CPU contributes to its better performance in demanding tasks, whereas the HP's entry-level Celeron processor isn't quite cut out for intensive gaming and 3D applications.

The Acer Swift X has a better screen than the HP Stream 14" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Acer Swift X has a display that offers clear, vivid images with a wide range of colors, satisfying the needs for general use and engineering tasks where accurate color representation matters. For gaming and 3D tasks, however, its refresh rate may not be high enough for smooth motion, thus resulting in a less optimal experience. On the other hand, the HP Stream 14" falls short in providing the necessary clarity, color range, and brightness for general activities and the color accuracy required for professional design work, with the screen's poorer refresh rate also impacting gaming and 3D applications.

"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"With half of the main system memory and a fraction of the storage that we recommend in any budget Windows laptop, the HP Stream 14 does not impress. Perhaps it doesn't need to, depending on your reference point. For the price, you're getting a functional laptop with Windows 10, which already places the HP Stream 14 above most Chromebooks on that merit alone. Still, in this price range, you can't do much worse, but you can do better. In fact, for just $100 more, you can grab the much superior budget option, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 14."
