The Acer Swift X is more suitable for general use and portability with good performance for everyday tasks and light creative work, while the HP Omen 17 is designed for gaming and resource-intensive work with superior graphics and processing power but is heavier and has a shorter battery life. If you prioritize gaming or intensive tasks and don't mind a larger, less portable laptop, the HP Omen 17 is suitable. However, if you need something more lightweight for general use and some light media editing with longer battery life, the Acer Swift X would be a better fit. Give Feedback

The HP Omen 17 has a better screen than the Acer Swift X for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
If you prioritize clear and vibrant visuals for tasks like browsing or watching videos, the Acer Swift X provides a suitable screen, but for high-end gaming or 3D work, its lower refresh rate may lead to less fluid motion. The HP Omen 17 offers a more luminous and sharper image for everyday tasks, which can enhance your viewing experience. For engineering and design, both laptops present rich colors; however, professionals might prefer the HP for its slight edge in color reproduction, though neither is ideal for fast-paced gaming due to their refresh rates.

How the Acer Swift X (2022) and the HP Omen 17 compare to other laptops
"The Swift X is an Acer for entry-level gaming. With the entry-level graphics chip, our Acer not only beats every single current AMD and Intel iGPU, but also Intel's dGPU Iris Xe Max. However, despite being a GDDR6 version, the GTX does not match the expectations set by its own counterparts from our database. This may be a result of the single fan, which only produces moderate noise levels under load. The performance level of the thin and light 1.4 kg (~3.09 lbs) 14-inch laptop is impressive nonetheless."
"The HP Omen 17 (2022) gaming laptop has a stylish case and hardware with lots of potential. The HP Omen 17 is a fairly unobtrusive gaming laptop. A material combination of plastic and metal gives the case a high stability and a quality surface feel. The unspectacular design is pleasing and is hardly indicative of the laptop's high performance potential. The Intel Core i7-12700H in particular is able to perform well once again. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is also strong in the gaming notebook. Demanding games run smoothly in Full HD resolution. The HP Omen 17 is a good gaming laptop that delivers partly excellent performance. But even at this performance level, cheaper alternatives are available."
