The Acer Swift 3, being less expensive, is a suitable option for general use with its good battery life, portability, and touchscreen feature. However, its performance in 3D rendering and engineering tasks is not as high compared to the Lenovo LOQ 15, which has a more powerful graphics card suitable for gaming, machine learning, and engineering software but at a higher cost and with a heavier build, which impacts portability. The Lenovo also falls behind in battery life. If budget and portability are key concerns, consider the Acer; if you require more intensive computing capabilities and don't mind the extra weight and cost, the Lenovo might be preferable. The Lenovo LOQ 15 has a better screen than the Acer Swift 3 for general use, and gaming and AI.
The Acer Swift 3 and Lenovo LOQ 15 have display characteristics suitable for general use and engineering due to their sufficient resolution and brightness, allowing for clear and vivid image quality during everyday tasks and detailed work in design applications. Their color accuracy, covering a broader spectrum, supports professional work in engineering and design where precise color representation is crucial. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the panels fall short as they lack high refresh rates which are essential for smooth motion and an immersive experience, making them less ideal for action-oriented or fast-paced visual content.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the Lenovo LOQ 15 compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"Even after a short time with the LOQ 15, you'll find it has a lot going for it, but ultimately it's just "good"—not quite a star. The performance is respectable for the hardware it’s running, but Lenovo had to make some design sacrifices to trim the price. One of the better aspects is the keyboard, making it one of the better low-cost gaming laptops to actually put your hands on."
