The Acer Swift 3 is more budget-friendly with a longer battery life, which might make it a suitable option if you're looking for value and the ability to work on the go without frequent charging. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook 14X, while generally more expensive, offers a higher-quality OLED screen with a more vivid display suitable for tasks where color richness and details are important. It also has a more powerful main processor and a dedicated graphics card, which are beneficial for 3D applications, machine learning, and gaming. However, it is slightly heavier and its battery does not last as long as the Swift 3. Both laptops have similar storage and memory capacities; choosing between them would depend on whether you prioritize long battery life and lower cost over screen quality and performance for specialized tasks. The ASUS Zenbook 14X has a better screen than the Acer Swift 3 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Acer Swift 3 offers a decent display with good resolution and brightness suitable for everyday tasks and professional design work, although it may not cover a wide color spectrum for precise color work. The ASUS Zenbook 14X, with its superior resolution and brightness, provides an excellent visual experience for both daily use and demanding creative applications, thanks to its wider color coverage ensuring more accurate color representation. However, both laptops' displays lack the high refresh rates desired for smooth 3D animation or gaming, potentially leading to less fluid motion and responsiveness in these scenarios.

The Acer Swift 3 and ASUS Zenbook 14X are both good for general use.
The Acer Swift 3 offers a balance of performance with its Intel i5 processor and efficiency with a longer battery life for general use, making it suitable for everyday tasks with better portability due to its lighter weight. In contrast, the ASUS Zenbook 14X, with a higher-end Intel i7 processor and dedicated Nvidia graphics, provides increased power for more demanding applications, but at the expense of heavier weight and reduced battery duration, although it compensates with a superior OLED screen for sharper and more vibrant visuals.

The ASUS Zenbook 14X and Acer Swift 3 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Acer Swift 3 has a fair performance in gaming and 3D tasks due to its integrated GPU and standard refresh rate screen, which are decent for casual gaming but may not handle intensive graphics smoothly. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenbook 14X offers a dedicated Nvidia GPU and a higher screen refresh rate, which provides better gaming and 3D performance; however, the higher capabilities come at the cost of reduced battery life compared to the Acer Swift 3.

How the Acer Swift 3 and the ASUS Zenbook 14X compare to other laptops
"With the Swift 3, Acer delivers a 14-inch laptop with a sleek, slim metal chassis. The latter is of high quality and sturdy enough for everyday use, which is a real plus point among the 700-Euro (~$798) models. A new feature is Thunderbolt 4 in the Type-C format for peripherals or even displays (DisplayPort via Type-C). Unfortunately, a card reader is still missing, and the RAM is completely onboard, so there are no upgrade options here. Acer's 14-incher is affordable, yet it does everything most would want from a truly mobile laptop: Long battery life, a great display, quality, sufficient ports, light weight, and low noise and heat emissions."
"With the Zenbook 14X, Asus has a 14-incher in its range that is - mostly - a joy to use. First, there is the colorful OLED panel with 3K resolution that displays the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The Zenbook is also at the forefront in terms of workmanship, input devices and connections with 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports and a generous keyboard layout. A pleasure to use, the Zenbook 14X is a solid, very well-built subnotebook that sits well on the table. A runtime of five hours, however, is below average for a high-end subnotebook nowadays. The OLED screensaver causes increased power consumption when in idle mode."
