The Acer Predator Triton 300 is lighter and thus more portable than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15; however, the ASUS offers a larger storage capacity and a more powerful graphics card, which is better for intensive gaming and demanding applications. The ASUS also has a higher battery capacity, which should translate to longer battery life. Both have similar screen sizes and resolution, but if battery life and graphics performance are a priority and portability is less of a concern, the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 would be the better choice. The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Acer Predator Triton 300 is good.
The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 outperforms the Acer Predator Triton 300 due to its more powerful CPU and GPU, which results in better performance for engineering and design tasks; however, the Triton has a superior screen quality which is crucial for such tasks. On the other hand, the Triton is slightly more portable and has a quieter operation, but the TUF Gaming F15, despite being heavier and potentially louder, offers a better balance between performance and portability for demanding software used in those fields.

The Acer Predator Triton 300 has a better screen than the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 has a better screen for software development.
The Acer Predator Triton 300, with higher resolution and brightness levels, offers clearer and more vivid visuals for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work, but its lower refresh rate hampers the fluidity required for gaming and 3D applications. The ASUS TUF Gaming F15 provides a balanced display with adequate brightness and resolution for general use, but its lesser coverage of professional color gamuts might make it less ideal for precise engineering and design tasks. Both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D content due to their inadequate refresh rates, which don't align with the high frame rates desirable for such activities.

How the Acer Predator Triton 300 and the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 compare to other laptops
"In our particular review configuration, the Acer Predator Triton 300 turned out to be a fairly powerful gaming notebook. Both CPU and GPU performance were at a high level, and the aluminum case turned out to be fairly robust. Only the display lid could have been a bit more robust. For customers on a budget that do not mind tinkering with the device’s fan management the Acer Predator Triton 300 can be worth a closer look."
"Aside from all the chassis updates, the new TUF Gaming is most notable for its much higher TGP target of 140 W compared to only 95 W on the previous generation. PC makers everywhere are using the same GeForce GPUs this year since Nvidia has yet to launch the successor to the mobile RTX 3000 series. The more demanding processors of the new TUF Gaming has directly impacted battery life and the size of the AC adapter. Don't expect runtimes to be longer than on the previous generation under most conditions and be prepared to carry around an even larger AC adapter than before."
