If you prioritize high-end performance for tasks such as 3D modeling, machine learning, or gaming, the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is the better choice due to its more powerful processor and graphics card. However, it is less portable and heavier, making it less ideal if you need to carry your laptop frequently. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15", on the other hand, offers decent performance for general use and is lighter and more portable, which makes it a good option for everyday tasks and carrying around. Nonetheless, it has a slower processor and graphics, which may not be suitable for more demanding applications. The Acer model is slightly more expensive, so you would be paying extra for the performance boost. Give Feedback

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is only fair.
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 outperforms in engineering and design due to its higher-end CPU and GPU, which are crucial for demanding applications, alongside more RAM and a high-quality screen that excels in color coverage and brightness which are significant for design work. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" has more modest specifications in these areas which leads to fair performance for engineering and design tasks, and while more portable and quieter, it compromises on the power and screen quality essential for such activities.

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When considering the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 for general use, its high resolution and brightness offer a sharp and vibrant display which enhances the viewing experience. For engineering and design tasks, although it has a rich color representation, it might not meet the demands of professionals who require the widest color gamuts. The lower refresh rate on the Helios Neo 16, while adequate for most tasks, can disappoint gamers or those doing 3D work who often seek smoother visuals that come with higher refresh rates. The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" provides an acceptable level of clarity and brightness for everyday tasks and casual design work, but its range of colors might not be as accurate for precision design. Its poor performance for gaming and 3D stems from its average refresh rate and the limitations in resolution and panel technology which do not prioritize the fast, crisp imagery desired in these applications.

How the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" compare to other laptops
"The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 sacrifices portability and a truly budget price in the name of additional power. While remaining relatively budget-friendly, this gaming laptop packs serious processing chops, and Acer optimizes its internals to deliver respectable 1080p (or 1200p) gameplay from an RTX 4050. Its keyboard and chassis design won't win it any awards, but its display is a cut above for the price."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15" is affordable and pretty efficient. At the end of the day, the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 (15″, 2023) is one of the better affordable laptops money can buy right now. It has a decent performance, albeit coming from a CPU that is based on old architecture. Playing low-intensity games is possible but at low to medium settings. We are really happy with the cooling setup, but the main event here is the battery life. We got 9 hours of either Web browsing or video playback, which is a great result. Especially if you compare this device with the ASUS E410."
