If you need high performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, the Acer Nitro 5 15 may be your choice due to its dedicated graphics card, which can handle these tasks better. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. On the other hand, the LG Gram 17 excels in general use with its larger, higher-resolution screen and extended battery life, as well as being significantly lighter, ideal for on-the-go use despite its larger screen size. The LG Gram 17 also comes with more storage capacity and memory, which can help in multitasking and storage-intensive tasks. Choose the Nitro if gaming and 3D tasks are a priority, or the LG Gram for portability and general productivity. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2022
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."

LG uses the predecessor's compact, light magnesium case along with an identical port configuration (including 2x Thunderbolt 4) and keyboard. Changes can be found in the hardware. With the Gram 17 (2022), LG offers a light (approx. 1,350 g), mobile work device - and finally with a matte display."
