The Acer Nitro 5 15 offers a balance of performance and value, suitable for general use and gaming with its RTX 4050 GPU, making it a solid choice if you're looking for an affordable gaming laptop that doesn't break the bank. It's also lighter and has a number pad, which is great for productivity. However, its screen isn't as sharp, and the battery life is shorter compared to the Lenovo. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 16 (2024) is a powerhouse with a higher resolution display, better color accuracy, and a more powerful RTX 4060 GPU, ideal for more demanding tasks like 3D rendering and machine learning. It also has a higher refresh rate screen, which is beneficial for fast-paced gaming. The Legion 5 is built for performance, but it comes at a higher price and is less portable due to its larger size and weight. If you prioritize portability and cost-effectiveness for general use and casual gaming, the Acer is the way to go. But if you're looking for top-tier performance, a superior display, and are willing to pay more and carry a heavier machine, the Lenovo Legion 5 is the better investment for intensive tasks and serious gaming. NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2022
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
