The Acer Nitro 5 15, being less expensive, offers a powerful combination with its Intel i5 processor and Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU, which is suited for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering tasks due to the hardware ray tracing and DLSS support. However, it has a lower resolution IPS display and heavier weight which affects portability. On the other hand, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED is somewhat more expensive with a superior Intel i9 processor and Iris Xe graphics, which is less suitable for heavy 3D tasks but excellent for general use and engineering, featuring an exceptional OLED display with high resolution, brightness, and color accuracy, as well as a lighter weight improving portability. Both have similar battery capacities, with the ASUS boasting a slightly longer battery life. Give Feedback

The ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED has a better screen than the Acer Nitro 5 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Nitro 5 has a screen that is clear and bright enough for everyday tasks, but its color range is limited, which is less ideal for the color accuracy required in engineering and design, and its lower refresh rate hampers the smooth visuals crucial for gaming and 3D applications. The ASUS Vivobook's OLED display offers vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it excellent for general use and providing the wide color gamut that professionals need for engineering and graphic design work, but like the Acer, its refresh rate isn’t high enough to satisfy the demands of gamers and 3D artists looking for the most fluid experience. Both laptops, while having strengths in screen quality for certain tasks, fall short for gaming and 3D use where high refresh rates are a necessity for optimal performance.

How the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
"The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED excels as a capable work machine at an affordable price. It offers commendable performance, thanks to its 12th Gen Intel chip, delivers quality on-screen entertainment with its 15.6-inch OLED display, and can (kind of) get you through a full day of work. Oh, and its special Asus Antibacterial Guard is a nice touch for those who like a clean laptop."
