The Acer Nitro 5 15 is less expensive and has a solid performance for general use, engineering tasks, and can handle intensive gaming. It features good heat management and a decent display but is slightly bulkier and heavier. If portability is important, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 is lighter and has a better portability score, along with a high-quality keyboard and speakers, making it good for gaming and general use; however, it is more expensive and has an older GPU which may not perform as well in new games or intensive 3D tasks. Both laptops have similar battery life and neither have a premium business appearance or features like a fingerprint reader or facial recognition. Give Feedback

For general use, both the Acer Nitro 5 15 and ASUS ROG Strix G15 offer displays with sufficient resolution and brightness, and a panel type that provides clear and vibrant visuals. In engineering and design tasks, the ASUS outshines the Acer as it covers a wider array of color gamuts, ensuring more precise color representation critical for such work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both fall short due to lower refresh rates, which means less fluid motion and potential disadvantage in fast-paced visual scenarios.

How the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the ASUS ROG Strix G15 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
"The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a successful high-performance 15-inch laptop. The Asus ROG Strix impresses with an elaborate design and fast hardware. The latter can unleash its potential well in the large 15-inch case and achieve a decent performance boost compared to the previous generation. Especially the stunning 300 Hz display as well as the RTX 3070 and its generous TDP give gamers their money's worth. Asus didn't neglect seemingly small details, either, such as the keyboard and the maintenance options. The ROG Strix G15 offers a lot of pure performance and excellent workmanship in a 15-inch format, but connectivity leaves something to be desired."
