Choosing between the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the Apple MacBook Air (2020) involves considering your needs. The Acer Nitro 5, with its more powerful processor and dedicated graphics card, excels in heavy tasks like gaming, 3D modeling, and engineering software, but it's bulkier and has shorter battery life, making it less ideal for on-the-go usage. On the other hand, the MacBook Air is lighter and has a longer battery life, perfect for everyday use and portability, but it has less storage and might struggle with more intensive tasks due to less RAM and integrated graphics. If your priority is performance and you can handle a heavier laptop, the Acer might be for you; for portability and everyday tasks with long battery life, consider the MacBook Air. Give Feedback

The Apple MacBook Air has a better screen than the Acer Nitro 5 15 for general use, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Nitro 5 15 offers a balance for general users needing a clear display with adequate resolution and brightness, but may fall short for gamers due to a lower refresh rate, impacting the fluidity of fast-paced visuals. The Apple MacBook Air, with its high resolution and brightness, satisfies both general users and professionals in engineering and design who require accurate colors and wider color gamuts. However, its standard refresh rate, while sufficient for everyday tasks and professional design, does not cater to the high-speed demands of 3D gaming and content.

How the Acer Nitro 5 15 and the Apple MacBook Air (2020) compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 5 is a fast QHD gaming notebook. The Nitro 5 is a well-balanced gaming laptop for just under US$ 2400. A Core i7-12700H CPU and a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU enable QHD gaming at high to maximum settings, accompanied by fast PCIe-4-SSD (1 TB) and 16 GB of RAM. Acer delivers a solid QHD gaming notebook with the Nitro 5 AN515-58. However, the laptop is not completely free of shortcomings. The CPU and GPU can work at consistently high clock rates. The laptop heats up noticeably under load, but not excessively. Noise development is on the usual class level. Once again, however, Acer needs to improve the fan control."
"The Apple MacBook Air M2 Entry is a very good, but too expensive daily MacBook. The new MacBook Air M2 is undoubtedly once again a very good mobile companion, but we are still a little bit disappointed on a very high level, which is definitely connected with the increased price point. The new chassis is extremely slim and the front edge is no problem during typing, but the bezels are pretty wide for a modern device and in addition with the vertical space required for the notch, the new Air has larger footprint than some Windows rivals."
