The Acer Nitro 17 is generally higher-priced due to its gaming-oriented hardware that provides superior performance, particularly for 3D tasks, gaming, and intensive applications, whereas the Lenovo V15 is geared towards general use with a focus on value for money. If your primary need is for everyday tasks, the Lenovo V15 would offer a more cost-effective solution, with the added benefit of being more portable due to its typically smaller size. However, if your use case includes graphics-intensive tasks or you desire a more future-proof machine, investing in the Acer Nitro 17 despite its higher cost and lower portability could be worthwhile. Keep in mind that the higher performance of the Acer Nitro may also impact battery life, which tends to be shorter on powerful gaming laptops like this one. Give Feedback

PCMag

Mark Knapp | October 2023
"The Acer Nitro 17 isn't an exceptional gaming laptop; it's kind of chunky even among 17.3-inch notebooks, with a lackluster keyboard, and it doesn't outperform comparably priced machines. But there's a lot to like about it, including a good array of ports, a screen that's sharp and bright for work and play alike, and battery life that soundly beats the competition. All this comes at an affordable price. If size and weight aren't big concerns, you'll find the Nitro 17 a dependable big-screen gaming rig. If you crave higher quality, consider a slight step down or up in screen size with the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 or Alienware m18 respectively."

NotebookCheck

Marvin Gollor | April 2022
"The strengths of the Lenovo V15 G2 AMD lie in its expandability of the RAM and allowing you to use two SSDs, in its performance that goes beyond everyday applications thanks to AMD's hexa-core CPU and Vega-7 iGPU, in its good keyboard, and its relatively robust case. In addition, the battery life of the office laptop is also acceptable, and the device stays cool and relatively quiet."
