If you prioritize a larger screen and a longer-lasting battery for gaming or video editing, the Acer Nitro 17 is the less expensive option but is also heavier and larger, making it less portable. Conversely, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is more compact and light, with a better screen resolution and touch functionality, making it suitable for creative professionals who need portability and screen quality, though it is slightly more expensive and has a shorter battery life. Both laptops offer powerful performance for demanding tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering applications. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 has a better screen than the Acer Nitro 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
When considering the Acer Nitro 17 for general use, the panel type, resolution, and brightness are likely to deliver a pleasant viewing experience, but the same attributes might not suffice for gaming and 3D tasks where a higher refresh rate is crucial for smooth visuals. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13, meanwhile, excels in screen quality for both general use and engineering design due to its likely higher coverage of color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, which are essential for accurate color work, but falls short for gaming and 3D for similar reasons as the Acer, potentially due to a lower refresh rate. Both laptops are not ideally suited for gaming and 3D applications where high refresh rates are integral to performance, but offer strengths in areas where vivid colors and sharp resolution are more critical.

How the Acer Nitro 17 and the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 compare to other laptops
"The Acer Nitro 17 isn't an exceptional gaming laptop; it's kind of chunky even among 17.3-inch notebooks, with a lackluster keyboard, and it doesn't outperform comparably priced machines. But there's a lot to like about it, including a good array of ports, a screen that's sharp and bright for work and play alike, and battery life that soundly beats the competition. All this comes at an affordable price. If size and weight aren't big concerns, you'll find the Nitro 17 a dependable big-screen gaming rig. If you crave higher quality, consider a slight step down or up in screen size with the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 or Alienware m18 respectively."
"The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet with powerful Alder Lake i9 CPU. The ROG Flow Z13 impresses with its good cooling. After our review, the impression is predominantly positive. Besides a very fast Alder Lake CPU and stable gaming performance, especially the cooling system is surprisingly effective and quiet. You can use the integrated speakers without any issues while gaming. The 1200p display in the 16:10 format also impresses with good color reproduction and high brightness. Since the battery runtimes aren't particularly long as it is, we wouldn't recommend the optional 4K panel."
