The Acer Nitro 16 typically costs less and has a larger battery capacity, which can be beneficial for extended use without charging. However, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro has double the storage capacity and slightly better build and heat management features, alongside a marginally more portable design due to its lighter weight. Both laptops have similar processing power and are well-suited for gaming, engineering, or 3D/machine learning tasks. The Legion's display is brighter and offers slightly better color accuracy which might appeal to those involved in visual arts or video editing. Your choice may hinge on whether price, battery life, and portability, or storage, build quality, and display characteristics are more important to your needs. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | June 2023
"Video editing, rendering and, of course, gaming represent the Nitro 16's core competencies with a Ryzen 7 7735HS and GeForce RTX 4070 providing the necessary power. Both chips run at consistently high clock speeds. A fast PCIe 4 SSD (1 TB) provides the required storage space and ensures short loading times. With the Nitro 16 AN16-41, Acer has a well-specced, mid-range gaming laptop in its portfolio."

PCMag

Mark Knapp | July 2023
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
